In this tutorial, you will learn how to change the Time Zone in Webmail for your email accounts. It is important to learn how to do that if you wish for your emails to be displayed in your preferred time zone. We will be doing changes with these email clients:
- The recommended Roundcube email client.
- Horde email client.
- SquirrelMail email client.

What you’ll need
Before you begin this guide you’ll need the following:
- Email account login details
Step 1 — Accessing Webmail
Before starting, I would like to mention that it is very important to have an email account created beforehand. You can find a tutorial on how to do that here.

Step 2 — Changing the Time Zone
2.1 Roundcube client
After entering your email account via Webmail’s Roundcube email client, you should see a window similar to this:

Click on Settings here:

You will be taken to the next Settings window:

On that window, click on Preferences -> User Interface. In the Main Options section of the User Interface you will notice a Time zone option. Click on it and a drop-down menu will appear where you will be able to choose your preferred Time Zone:

After choosing the preferred Time Zone, click on Save.
You will be greeted with a Success message:

2.2 Horde client
After entering your email account via Webmail’s Horde email client, you should see a window similar to this:

Click on Settings -> Preferences -> Global Preferences here:

You will be taken to the next Global Preferences window:

On that window, click on Locale and Time, which will take you to this next window where you will be able to choose a preferred timezone in Your current time zone section:

After choosing the preferred Time Zone, click on Save here:

You will be greeted with a Success message:

2.3 SquirrelMail client
After entering your email account via Webmail’s SquirrelMail email client, you should see a window similar to this:

Click on Options here:

You will be taken to the next Options window. Here you must click on Personal Information here:

On that window you should find the Timezone Options section which looks like this:

From the drop-down menu you can choose your preferred timezone:

After choosing the preferred Time Zone, click on Submit and you will be greeted with a Success message:

Conclusion
Congratulations! You have changed your Email Account’s Time Zone using three different Webmail clients: Roundcube, Horde, SquirrelMail. Keep in mind that by doing the changes, they are only applied for the particular email account, so if you wish for all your email accounts to have a different time zone, you have to set it separately for every one of them.
